Is 4K TV better than HD?
Having 4x the pixels of HD, a 4K TV will always have more clarity and sharpness and will look better up close than HD. The higher the resolution of the TV (e.g. UHD vs FHD) the greater the number of pixels displayed on the screen and the greater the number of details you can display on a given image with the same size.
Is my TV showing in 4K?
You can check this by going to your source's Display or Video settings and looking at the output resolution. Alternatively, you can see what resolution your TV is receiving when you press the Info button on the remote control.
Is a special HDMI cable required for 4K?
There is no need to purchase special HDMI cables when it comes to 4K TV. Colour and resolution can be affected by HDMI cable quality, but newer versions are not required for 4K TVs. You won't be able to use an HDMI cable already on hand if you've hung your TV on the wall and want to keep the cables out of sight our professional installers will use in-wall-rated HDMI cables.
