  • Many new TVs and Blu-ray Disc (BD) players are coming to the market with Ethernet connectivity built in.
  • With this capability, you can connect via Ethernet cable (CAT-5), the TV or the Blu-ray player to the homes broadband network.
  • Also connect to a vast library of standard and high definition content over the Internet at sites such as CinemaNow, BD Live, Netflix, Roku, Hulu, YouTube, and others.
  • The problem is that most homes dont have an Ethernet cable in the room where most TVs or BD players are located. With HomePlug Powerline Technology, the solution is simple.
  • Plug a Powerline adaptor into the outlet near the TV or BD player, and connect a CAT-5 cable from there to the units Ethernet port.
  • A second adaptor is plugged in to an outlet and connected to the homes broadband router via a CAT-5 cable to complete the bridge.
  • The NL-HP200DL & NL-HP200SG are compliant with HomePlug AV specification 1.1 and have a High Speed Transfer rate of up to 200 Mbps.
  • They also have 128-Bit Encryption with Key Management. A minimum of two adaptors are needed and more can be added as the network grows.
