As the RGB stores are named Best Consumer Electronics Retailer of the year 2011, it becomes the first company in the history of the ERT awards to win it 2 years in a row!
Multi awarding winning Essex based company RGB, has won their 4 th National award. The ERT award is the most prestigious award known in the electrical industry. The Awards ceremony took place in London on the 7 th November , with retailers and manufacturers from all over the UK coming together to celebrate excellence and outstanding achievements in the electrical retailing sector. After a record number of entries to the awards, the event which was held at the prestigious Commonwealth Club venue in central London was a complete sell-out. Thousands of entries nationwide were filtered down to three finalists. The ceremony, which was co-hosted by ERT's editor Sean Hannam and managing editor Andrew Davies. Paul Clarke from LG stepped up to the stage and revealed that RGB Hi-Fi & Video had won the award and presented the trophy to Jason and Dennis Digwa. RGB fought off stiff competition to win the “ Best Consumer Electronics Retailer 2011 ”. “To win the award last year was an amazing achievement however to retain the award for the second year is a true accolade” said Dennis Digwa. Many retailers approached the Essex Boy's Jason and Dennis Digwa to congratulate them on the award. The ERT award was based upon many aspects including mystery shoppers, quality of products on display and customer service. RGB now also offers home appliances from washing machines to integrated ovens and cookers and with their new price promise gives then the edge in a competitive industry.
The prestigious ERT award, described by RGB director Jason Digwa as the “Ultimate Electrical industry award” was a great achievement for RGB and shows by continually investing in their stores and customer service, it has paid dividend. After winning the AAA Award 2010-11, ERT Award 2010, IER (Independent Electrical retailer) award 2011-12 RGB now added the ERT Award 2011 to their collection of awards within the last year.
