Prestigious National IER Award 2011
As the Ilford/Loughton store is named Best Large Consumer Electronics & Domestic Appliances Retailer of the year, RGB adds another award to its numerous accolades.
Multi awarding winning Essex based company RGB was invited to attend the prestigious 2011 Independent Business Awards on the 23 rd June, held at the Forest Of Arden Hotel in Birmingham. The event was hosted by special guest Ian Moore. Jason and Dennis Digwa attended the evening where over 250 of the most Premium Electrical Retailers were selected. Thousands of entries nationwide were filtered down to four finalists. Excitement was in the air to see who had won the most prestigious award of the night for the independent sector , as Samsung General Manager Colin Rodgers revealed that RGB Hi-Fi & Video had won the award and presented the trophy to Jason and Dennis Digwa.
RGB fought off stiff competition to win the “ Best Large Consumer Electronics & Domestics Retailer 2011 ”. “It is extremely pleasing to see what we are so passionate about, being rewarded by our industry” said Dennis Digwa. Many retailers approached the Essex Boy's Jason and Dennis Digwa to ask them what is your secret to success? “As my father Peter Digwa always said to me, hard work and determination always will prevail you to being successful. “ At RGB we work as a team and I would like to thank all our staff members, as without them this award would not be possible” said Jason Digwa
The Coveted IER award, described by RGB director Dennis Digwa as the “Oscar of the Electrical Retail Industry” was a great achievement for RGB and shows by continually investing in their stores and customer service, it has paid off. After winning the AAA Award 2010/11 and ERT Award 2010/11 RGB now added the IER (Independent Electrical retailer) award 2011 to their collection of awards within the last year. The award covered both Consumer Electronics such as LCD & LED Panels, Digital Cameras, home Cinema Systems and Domestic appliances such as Fridge freezers and washing machines. This was the first award RGB have won for their House Hold Appliances which stocks all the latest Washing machines, Dryers and fridge freezers.

The winners of the ERT Awards 2010 were unveiled at the Renaissance Chancery Hotel in London on October 7 th 2010.
Retailers and manufacturers from all over the UK were brought together to celebrate excellence and outstanding achievements in the electrical retailing sector.
Organised by ERT magazine, the awards which are in their third year are aimed at raising standards among retailers and manufacturers and rewarding them for their efforts.
Thousands of retailers applied for this prestigious ERT Award, nominations were then whittled down to a shortlist of finalists by a panel of judges made up of industry experts.
RGB were one of three finalist for the award for Best Consumer Electronics Retailer 2010, and were delighted when they won the award.
To win the prestigious ERT Industry Award 2010 for Best Consumer Electronics Retailer is a true landmark moment in RGB's twenty year history. To be honoured by the industry is the ultimate accolade for any electrical retailer. We have invested substantially in our stores which has proved successful with our customers .
