Product Details of Panasonic DMRBWT720EB

The DMR-BWT720 helps people to use time more efficiently by archiving high-quality Full-HD content to a Blu-ray Disc™ while recording two TV programmes simultaneously to the HDD.

The DIGA Player app lets you easily control DIGA-recorded programmes and live broadcasts for viewing on an iOS or Android smart device.

The DMR-BWT720 is equipped with DLNA server/client functionality. By connecting to a LAN and using a compatible DLNA client device, recorded programmes and AVCHD and JPEG data archived on the DMR-BWT720s HDD can be enjoyed in a separate room.

In addition, WMV, AVCHD, JPEG, and MP3 data can be played on the DMR-BWT720 from a personal computer with a DLNA server function.

By utilising the ad banner space, the EPG - which features a fast, on-screen appearance of only about 1 second - is designed to display the programme list in a larger size than in previous models.

The EPG screen also shows the programme presently being watched in a small window, so the user can continue to watch it while searching through the EPG for another programme.

The DMR-BWT720 supports a USB-compatible external HDD, so collections of content recorded onto the DMR-BWT720 can be moved over to the external HDD.

Further, the content that has been moved to the external HDD can be played directly via the DMR-BWT720 or archived directly to a Blu-ray Disc™.

Competent product which does all it says. Not all that intuitive to use but once established no problems.

I am very pleased with the machine and the loads of features that it provides. It is very easy to set-up and anyone who had a panasonic machine previously will find it builds upon the experience they gained. I did originally consider purchasing the less expensive HW220 model, but am happy that I went for the BWT model.

Excellent piece of kit, much improved from the dvd recorder I was using. The Tv guide is a vast improvement with current channel picture and no advert. Editing is quicker and the hard drive is much larger. It can record 6Hrs 30mins on a 25Gb blu ray disc at high definition (DR mode). Picture quality of both reception and recording is superb. The only downside I can find is no rgb input on scarts. Overall a brilliant machine.

Brilliant and the multi region works like a dream. The up scaling capability is so good that even my old region 1 MASH DVDs picture quality looks good!
